Settlement by Jewish elders from the Crown with Heschel Benjamin about a monopoly for importing paradise apples

Agreement between Jewish elders from the Polish Crown and Heschel Benjamin from Bytom, Upper Silesia, concerning the exclusive rights for Heschel for a period of 20 years to import paradise apples [etrog] to Poland via Wrocław. The elders made a commitment that if someone else obtains a similar right from the Polish king or a magnate, they would be obliged to settle his claims or pay four thousand Reich talers: one thousand to the imperial chamber, one thousand to the Polish king, two thousand to Heschel. If, however, Heschel does not deliver on the promise, he will pay four thousand Reich talers: one thousand to the imperial chamber, one thousand to the Polish king, and two thousand to the elders.
